Join SOE West and Olympic Peninsula poet, naturalist and author Tim McNulty in a nature walk in the ancient forests of the Barnes Creek area of Olympic National Park on the shores of scenic Lake Crescent, Saturday, August 19th at 9 a.m. McNulty is the author of Olympic National Park, a Natural History, and numerous other titles.
“We are happy to announce that renowned local author Tim McNulty will lead this Nature Walk for our program this summer,” said Jack Ganster, program director. “Programming was a struggle with all that COVID brought to the world, particularly for a group of folks that may be compromised by treatments or just by the cancer itself. We are looking forward to this hike.”
This easy walk is open to all cancer survivors and the person of their choice. Please register in advance by calling @ 360-477-1619.
Survivor’s Outdoor Experience provides outdoor activities for those on their cancer journey and their caregivers/partners/friends. SOE considers anyone who has heard the words “You have cancer” a survivor. Survivors and their guests are free for all events.
